INDIA IS THE GUEST COUNTRY THIS YEAR AT VALLADOLID, CASTILE-LEON, SPAIN
Spain is well known for so many reasons amongst the travellers. Be it the wines or for Spanish football, flamenco or Ibiza’s parties, La Tomatina or the bullfights.There is yet another reason to travel to Spain in November.
Every year a guest country is invited at INTUR and Interestingly, INDIA is the guest country this year in the 20th edition of this famous inland tourism fair.
What is INTUR?
Intur is the well known International Tourism Fair for Inland Tourism which takes place every year in the city of Valladolid, Castile-Leon, Spain from 23rd to 26th November 2017 at the Valladolid Fair Trade Centre. The fair is for both professionals and final customers including all kinds of inland tourism and all kind of travellers from nature to cultural, MICE or religious, besides the rest visits here. The inflow of people last year was more than 17.000 professionals and 44,000 visitors who participated in this annual event.
INTUR Business is designed only for professionals which comprise of a two days’ workshop (23rd and 24th November) where participants can connect directly to contact people from around the world. Visitors are seen travelling for this fair globally and 44% of the participants were international buyers from America, Europe and Asia. The main contribution comes from accommodation, conferences, destinations, active tourism, etc which are the main backbone of the fair.
INTERESTING PART OF INTUR
As 2017 is the International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development according to the United Nations declaration, travellers are considering this aspect in their trips. The pledge to the environmental sustainability of the planet is growing in Spain. INDIA´s participation in this trade fair as the guest country will strengthen the ties between India and Spain and help foster sustainable tourism in both countries alike.
