On 23rd August 2024, the Embassy of Uruguay in India commemorated its 199 Anniversary of the Declaration of Independence at the Taj Mahal Hotel in New Delhi. The Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs, Dr. L. Murugan, was the Chief Guest. H. E. Mr. Alberto Guani, Ambassador of Uruguay welcomed everyone and talked about the India-Uruguay relationship. Many Government Authorities, Diplomatic Corps, and other guests were seen attending the event.
