On 21st March, Honorary Consular Corps Diplomatique – India hosted a distinguished soirée at ITC Maurya, New Delhi under the leadership of President Mr. K.L. Ganju, to celebrate Consular Day 2026. The event recognized NGOs and Honorary Consuls for their outstanding contributions to consular activities and bilateral relations.
The Vivek Burman Peace Prize was awarded to Vanvasi Raksha Parivar Foundation. Chief Guest Dr. Shashi Tharoor, along with eminent diplomats including H.E. Alem Tsehaye Woldemariam, Dean of the Diplomatic Corp. along with H.E. Maj. Gen. Vetsop Namgyel, Deputy dean of the Diplomatic Corp. graced the occasion. Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Ministry officials, and Delhi’s prominent social circles joined in honouring the pivotal role of Honorary Consuls in strengthening diplomatic, cultural, and economic ties.
