On 14 January 2026, the Embassy of the Slovak Republic hosted a reception to celebrate its National Day. His Excellency Róbert Maxián, Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to India, presided over the evening and warmly welcomed distinguished guests.
The reception was graced by Secretary (West) MEA, Sibi George, who represented India as the chief guest. In his address, he highlighted the growing momentum in bilateral relations, noting progress across diverse spheres including political engagement, trade and investment, technology and innovation, as well as culture and education.
