On 13th December 2024, The Embassy Magazine TravelJingles curated it’s fourth edition of Diplomatic Conclave 2024 at Radisson Blu Plaza Delhi Airport. The conclave started with a lighting ceremony with all the diplomats. H.E. Mr. Ganbold Dambajav, Mongolia Ambassador to India was the Chief Guest who commemorated the event. Hitasha Mehra, Founder and Editor-in-Chief of TravelJingles, welcomed all the distinguished Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Honorary Consuls, and other diplomats besides the other guests. Diplomatic Conclave, a gathering of exceptional minds and visionaries dedicated to crafting a brighter and more interconnected future. There were around 40 Embassies and High Commissions present including the Ambassador of Bulgaria, Ambassador of Algeria, Ambassador of Macedonia, Ambassador of Colombia, High Commissioner of Seychelles, Spokesperson of Embassy of Israel, and many others.
Two pivotal topics, that have the potential to transform our world: ‘Cultural Tourism’ and the ‘Energy Crises & Renewable Resources’ were explored on the panel.
Cultural Tourism
Cultural Tourism is more than just an aspect of the travel industry; it serves as a bridge between nations, fostering understanding and appreciation of our shared heritage. By promoting cultural tourism, we celebrate the diversity that enriches our global community, transforming differences into strengths.
On the first panel ‘Cultural Tourism’, we had H.E. Mr. Ganbold Dambajav, Ambassador of Mongolia to India, Ms. Ivonne Bonilla, Deputy Chief of Mission of Embassy of El Salvador in India, H.E. Mr. Neeraj A. Sharma, Honorary Consul General of Palau in India, Mr. Said Hijri, Counsellor of the Embassy of Morocco in India were present. These distinguished panelists, shared their valuable views on strategies to attract more tourism to cultural destination, preservation of heritage and traditions, common misconceptions and the challenges faced by cultural tourism in today’s globalized world. This panel delved into how cultural tourism can preserve heritage, stimulate economies, and promote peace by bringing people together through shared experiences.
Energy Crises and Renewable Resources
Energy Crises and Renewable Resources is an issue that demands our immediate attention. Our dependence on fossil fuels has led to environmental degradation and geopolitical tensions. However, this crisis also presents an opportunity for innovation and collaboration.
On second panel ‘Energy Crisis and Renewable Resources’, we had H.E. Mr. Ganbold Dambajav, Ambassador of Mongolia to India, H.E. Mr. Victor Hugo Echeverri Jaramillo, Ambassador of Colombia to India, H.E. Mr. K.L. Ganju, Honorary Consul General of Comoros in India, Mr. Juan Carlos Rojas Arango, Minister Counselor of the Embassy of Colombia in India. These distinguished panelists, addressed the challenges we face on current global energy crisis and the role played by the geopolitical events, ways in which solar, and wind power can help addressing the energy crisis, effects of government policies and International treaties on the development & implementation of renewable energy technologies. This panel addressed the challenges we face, and explore sustainable energy solutions that can secure our future.
TravelJingles’ also focused on Uttar Pradesh’s Maha Kumbh Mela 2025 which starts from 13th January’25. It is the world’s largest congregation of people. This is the grand spiritual gathering to experience the vibrant culture, devotion, and unity. Preeti Srivastav, Deputy Director, Department of U.P. Tourism shared valuable insights on the same.
In conclusion, this Conclave served as an eye-opener, emphasizing the critical roles of cultural tourism and renewable energy in our global strategy.
