On 28th November 2025, the High Commission of Uganda commemorated the 63rd Anniversary of Independence with a vibrant celebration in New Delhi. Hosted by Her Excellency Prof. Joyce Kakuramatsi Kikafunda, High Commissioner of Uganda to India, the event welcomed numerous Heads of Missions, reflecting strong diplomatic camaraderie. Union Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, and External Affairs, Shri Kirti Vardhan Singh, attended as Chief Guest. In his address, he highlighted the growing Uganda–India partnership and reaffirmed India’s commitment to sharing developmental expertise. Guests enjoyed captivating Ugandan cultural performances and authentic cuisine, making the evening truly memorable.
