On 7th Nov’25, India reiterated its commitment to deepening ties with Algeria as MEA Secretary (South) Neena Malhotra attended the 71st Revolution Day celebration by the Algerian Embassy in New Delhi. H.E. Mr. Abdenor Khelifi commemorated and welcomed the guests. Representing the Indian government, she extended warm greetings to Algeria’s leadership and citizens. Revolution Day commemorates the start of Algeria’s independence struggle against French colonial rule in 1954. Diplomatic relations between India and Algeria began in 1962, the year Algeria gained independence. Many diplomats, government officials and others were seen attending the event.
