H.E. Ms. Pattarat Hongtong, Ambassador of Thailand celebrated the 75th anniversary: Weaving Indo- Thai friendship on the evening of 29th June 2022, Wednesday at the Royal Thai Embassy, New Delhi. Honorable Mrs. Meenakshi Lekhi, Minister of State for External Affairs of India was invited as the Chief guest for the event. Asst. Prof. Dr. Anucha Thirakanont Dean, Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Thammasat University, delivered a speech and presentation on Indo-Thai friendship through textile heritage.
The event covered an Exhibition of selected Thai heirlooms and contemporary textiles. It also consisted of the Thai costume dressing and a demonstration of a DIY Mudmee flower pin. The event was also followed by the Thai-style high tea.
