The Jamaica Product Exchange hospitality and trade expo at the Montego Bay Convention Centre was held from September 11 to September 13, 2023. The single most significant source of revenue for Jamaica’s tourism sector is JAPEX.
Over 230 people attended a trade show in Jamaica, where wholesalers, tour operators, and travel agencies discussed business with top tourism suppliers from 20 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, and more. The event facilitated discussions on travel options and health among Indian experts, Jamaican delegates, and tourism providers, fostering positive relationships.
‘This is an exciting new innovation that will secure participation from several key airlines and wholesale partners to create inbound travel traffic and form partnership opportunities from Eastern Europe, India, Latin America, and the Middle East,’ the Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) said in a statement about the ‘Hosted New Buyers Program’ that was implemented at JAPEX 2023.
