Malaysia Aviation Group Expands Network and Services to Support Future Growth

Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has revealed significant updates to its networks and service offerings, reaffirming its commitment to growth and world-class travel. It is on track to become a top 10 global airline by 2030.

Malaysia Airlines will recommence flights to Chengdu from 9 January 2026, allowing it to grow its Greater China network to 7 destinations, leveraging the new visa-free travel between Malaysia and China. 

In terms of its Indian network, Malaysia will increase its frequencies from Trivandrum to a daily service, effective 1 December 2025, while its Ahmedabad services will increase to 5 weekly, starting 26 October 2025. 

Firefly, a subsidiary of the Malaysian Aviation Group, also plans to enhance ASEAN connectivity, including new services to Krabi, Siem Reap, and Cebu from November 2025.
