Montblanc takes part in the Antarctic Ice Marathon

For the Laurent Le camp, Montblanc’s Managing Director, Montblanc Mark Maker, and mountaineer Simon Messner take part on the Antarctic Ice Marathon, the planet’s southernmost race, braving bone-chilling temperatures of -30 degree Celsius for 42.195 km.

On December 13, 2023, the 18th Antarctic Ice Marathon took place at 80 degrees south, barely one hundred miles from the South Pole at the foot of the Ellsworth Mountains. Fifty-two men and 14 women geared up at their starting line for one of the world’s most difficult, isolated, and resentful running marathons. The Managing director and the Montblanc Mark Maker with Laurent setting the pace, Montblanc’s Managing Director finished in 4 hours and 29 seconds taking 7th place.
