Trip to Naggar with a day trip to Manali

12th August Night – In Innova/ Tempo Traveller. (Dinner on your own)

13th & 14th August Night- At the Hotel – Breakfast, High-Tea, Bonfire, and Dinner included.

15th August Night – In Innova/ tempo traveller. (Dinner on your own) Breakfast & High-Tea included.

Rooms will be on double occupancy. One duplex room comes with 1 washroom. 

There are only 3 duplex rooms at the hotel. (6 rooms in total).

Naggar is an ancient town in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, situated on the left bank of the Beas River. A spiritual hub of Himachal Pradesh, with many temples scattered all across the town.  The Naggar village is a complete package of breathtaking views, trekking, fishing, authentic and local delicacies, apple orchards, and much more.

12th August Night

Start the journey from New Delhi in the evening by Innova or tempo traveller for Naggar, Himachal Pradesh. On the way, dinner on your own.

13th August - DAY 1 - Naggar Sightseeing

Hotel- Jana Trails Chalet  

The mountains of Naggar are home to the Jana trails. Enclosed by dense deodar forest and the magnificent snow-capped Dhauladhar range of the Himalayas, the resort is the best way to experience luxury with Himachali culture and tradition. The natural beauty of Kullu Manali, the fresh air, and the nature’s sound add to the property’s attraction. Atypical of the concrete buildings, these Kath Kuni spirited wooden cottages have rooms with natural light, lush greenery, and apple orchids. For a nature lover, a long walk in the woods will make excellent memories. There are 3 duplex cottages, wooden staircase connecting the ground to the upper floor. Awe-striking view from the balcony of each cottage. 

9:00 AM – We reach Naggar in the morning. Transfer to the hotel- Jana Trails Chalet. 

Check-in and relax for some time. Refreshments at the hotel.

2:30 PM- 5:30 PM – Sightseeing at the Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery, Naggar Castle & a visit to the local market. Tickets for Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery & Naggar Castle to be purchased by your own.

6:00 PM – High tea at the hotel  

8:00 PM – Dinner at the hotel

  1. Naggar Castle   

The Naggar Castle, earlier a Royal residence, is now a must-visit tourist attraction in Naggar. The magnificent medieval building overlooks the valleys of Kullu and provides a breath-taking view of the lush green hillsides dotted with apple orchards. Made of stone and wood, fireplaces, and fitting staircases beautify the castle’s insides. For art lovers, the castle also displays exclusive art pieces which only adds to the beauty of the castle.

2. Nicholas Roerich Art Gallery    

At a distance of 1.5 kms from Naggar Castle, named after the Russian artist Nicholas Roerich, the  museum serves as the residence of Nicholas Roerich.  The property is now home to the art gallery comprising two floors, The upper floor is a memorial of Nicholas Roerich’s house formerly. The ground floor is converted into the Roerich Museum, where paintings of Kullu, Spiti, and Lahaul made by the painter are displayed.    

3. Market Visit   

Being a producer of a varied range of organic fruits and vegetables, The Naggar hills provide its visitors with an incomparable opportunity to get their hands on the best of organic produces. With fruit orchards around, apples, pears, plums, peaches, and many other fruits can be easily purchased. Not to be missed are the Himachali wines, jams, squashes and Himachali shawls and caps.

14th August Day 2- Day trip to Manali

Day trip at Manali. Manali is around 20 kms from Naggar. 

7:00 AM – Breakfast at the hotel or packed breakfast depending on the weather and time.  Leave the hotel for Manali. We will cover Hadimba Temple, Old Manali, Atul Tunnel, etc. Entry charges to be paid by self if any levied. Lunch on your own.

6:30 PM – Return to hotel. Bonfire and snacks

8:00 PM – Dinner

15th August DAY- 3 - Naggar Sight Seeing

6:30 AM – Bird watching and jungle walk. Walking through the apple orchids, witnessing the local Kullu houses. Tea break at the village. 

8:30 AM– Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, you can enjoy some leisure time. 

9:30 AM – Leave for sightseeing. We visit the Nathan Village & Jana waterfall. 

10:00 AM– Reach and explore the village.

11:00 AM – Trek from Nathan Village to Jana waterfall.

12:30 PM – Explore Jana waterfalls. 

1:00 PM– Lunch at Sagar Thali dhaba (on your own)  

Sagar dhaba is stationed at the Jana Waterfall. This Himachali Dhaba, offers local Himachali cuisine prepared in a very authentic manner by using the chulha (brick stove). Devouring the local cuisine with a stunning view of the waterfall is the way to make your trip worthwhile.

This is an easy trek from Nathan Village to Jana waterfalls exploring the beauty of this tiny place. It’s a beautiful 4.5 kms trek where one can witness varied species of flora and fauna. The birds and animals that can be sighted in the jungle are Himalayan Monal, Kalij Pheasant, Cheer Pheasant, Blue Whistling Trush, Yellow-throated Martin Flying, and Squirrel. We recommend you to walk & soak your eyes and mind in the beauty of the place. (You can trek or board the conveyance.)

3:30 PM- Reach the hotel. 

5:00 PM – Tea and Snacks.  Check out the hotel.

5:30 PM – Leave for Delhi. Dinner on your own.

 

Jana Waterfall

The luring Jana waterfall are located amidst the dense deodar, pine trees, and snow-capped Himalayan mountains. The beautiful 30 feet high fall is 12 km from Naggar. One can reach the fall by trekking as the climb is easier compared to others in the region.  

Nathan Village   

Nathan is a medium size village located in Kullu Tehsil of Kullu district. Farms where the villagers grow a bunch of different fruits and vegetables are the main attraction of this beautiful village. The village does not only provide an incredible view of the magnificent mountains but spending time in the village supplies us with knowledge of the captivating lifestyle of the locals. 

Jungle Walk

A tranquil walk amongst the Naggar woods surrounded by innumerable apple orchards, wild raspberries, peach orchids, pears, and many other fruits is the perfect way to rejuvenate the soul. One can explore the natural heritage and beauty of the jungle, discovering the wide range of different species of trees and birds. 

16th August DAY - 4

8:00 AM – Reach Delhi.
