Jemimah Rodrigues, Cricketer Takes Indian Travellers Beyond the Familiar in Switzerland

Switzerland Tourism has announced Indian cricketer Jemimah Rodrigues as the new Friendship Ambassador on 15th October 2026, in Bangalore, marking a fresh chapter in its longstanding relationship with Indian Travellers. The announcement was made in Bengaluru in the presence of Martin Nydegger, CEO, Switzerland Tourism, along with members of the media and travel industry.

The association aims to inspire a new generation of Indian travellers to discover Switzerland beyond its familiar attractions, exploring more immersive, active and personalised experiences across all four seasons. As Friendship Ambassador, Jemimah will showcase the destination through her own experiences, bringing its diverse landscapes, culture and lifestyle closer to Indian audiences.

Speaking on the association, Martin Nydegger highlighted India’s importance as one of Switzerland Tourism’s top 10 source markets and emphasised the growing interest among Indian travellers in authentic experiences and year-round tourism.

The announcement also saw the launch of a campaign trailer featuring Jemimah exploring Interlaken and Zurich. Her experiences include a thrilling jetboat ride, Swiss chocolate-making, a visit to Ballenberg open-air museum and her first experience of snow at Jungfraujoch. In Zurich, she explored the city on an e-bike, enjoyed an e-boat ride and discovered its vibrant urban lifestyle.

The campaign also highlights Switzerland’s efficient public transport network, encouraging travellers to explore its cities, mountains and lesser-known regions at their own pace. Through this association, Switzerland Tourism aims to bring its Travel Better philosophy to life, inspiring Indian visitors to stay longer, explore further and discover Switzerland across seasons.
