To be the first woman Ambassador from Tunisia to India and in the entire Asia is of great honor, a deep source of pride. it should be inspiring for other Tunisian women. While I may be the first woman in this task, I will not be the last. But amid the joy and sense of empowerment, it’s also a tremendous responsibility on my shoulders, I have no other choices than succeed.

Q. What hurdles you have faced being what you’re today?

Women are underrepresented in leadership positions for numerous reasons, Gender stereotypes, lack of confidence. Difficult adjustment between women career and private life. When you pursue your career goals, things will constantly pull you in different directions and you will always question yourself. Are you enough for your children? Your partner? Your boss, co-workers, or employees?

Q. Who has been your support system?

There is no substitute for family and good friends to support and encourage you when it gets tough. My family was of great support for me. I was surrounded with family members, who encourage me in my choices and trials, and are there through the good and bad experiences of life – they don’t leave when it gets tough.

Q. One tip that you want to share with the other women to achieve their dreams?

During your journey to become successful, you’ll have to adjust, learn, fall, get up. Your success is driven by your mindset. With discipline and focus, self-confidence and overcoming Perfectionism you can ensure that fear never hold you back from reaching your full potential. If you are clear on your purpose and on what you are trying to achieve, then you will be successful in getting what you want. Building sisterhood is a must. Women should support and empower each other.
