On 24th September 2026, Uzbekistan celebrated its 35th Independence Day in New Delhi. The celebration was hosted by H.E. Mr. Sardor Rustambaev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to India, who warmly welcomed diplomats, business leaders, and members of the Uzbekistan community.
Secretary (East), Shri Rudrendra Tandon, attended the National Day Reception as the Chief Guest. The occasion highlighted the longstanding ties between India and Uzbekistan and reaffirmed opportunities for deeper bilateral cooperation. The rich culture and heritage of Uzbekistan came alive through its traditional cuisine and vibrant cultural performances, adding a festive touch to the evening.
