Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts presents three distinctive festive experiences for Indian travellers, combining cherished Diwali traditions with the tranquillity of island life.
Diwali celebrations are taking on a new setting as Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts invites Indian travellers to experience the festival of lights across three properties in the Maldives. Blending traditional Indian festivities with tropical surroundings, Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives, VARU by Atmosphere and RAAYA by Atmosphere offer distinct ways for families to celebrate the occasion.
At Atmosphere Kanifushi Maldives, the festivities centre on India’s diverse culinary heritage. From 1–7 November, the vegetarian restaurant JUST VEG will serve a different regional Indian thali at lunch each day. The celebrations culminate on 8 November at THE SPICE, with a grand Diwali feast, live entertainment, music, festive décor and a canopy of lights.
At VARU by Atmosphere, the focus shifts to the joy of sharing a festive meal. Lime & Chili will present an elaborate Indian buffet featuring biryanis, curries, grilled specialities, street-food favourites, vegetarian dishes and desserts. Set against the backdrop of the Indian Ocean, the experience brings the warmth of a traditional family gathering to a relaxed island setting.
RAAYA by Atmosphere offers an interactive celebration designed around family experiences. Activities include diya-making, rangoli creation and a beach treasure hunt. The evening continues with a traditional diya-lighting ceremony, festive cocktails at RAAYA Life Beach and a Diwali-themed dinner buffet. A Bollywood DJ, music and dancing at RAAYA Hub bring the celebrations to a lively close beneath the stars.
Through these varied experiences, Atmosphere Hotels & Resorts brings together familiar customs, Indian cuisine and opportunities for families to spend meaningful time together. With the Maldives as their setting, travellers can celebrate Diwali in a refreshing way while preserving the traditions and togetherness that define the festival.
