Explore the UNESCO sites in Germany

On 30th April, the German National Tourist Office and the German Embassy in India held a joint press conference to highlight Germany as a preferred travel destination for Indian travellers, with a 32.6% growth in recent years. This growth is attributed to Germany’s rich culture, scenic landscapes, historic landmarks, and eco-friendly tourism practices. Germany’s tourism industry is expanding, aiming to boost the visibility of 52 UNESCO World Heritage sites with diverse stories about how people live and reside and provide fascinating insights that also attract visitors interested in sustainable social heritage.

The country also offers hidden gems, charming villages, and lesser-known attractions, including Brandenburg Gate, Munich’s historic streets, and the scenic beauty of the Black Forest and Rhine Valley. Germany’s advanced infrastructure, efficient transportation, and high safety standards make it a preferred travel destination, appealing to Indian travellers who value responsible tourism practices. Germany’s tourism industry experienced significant growth, with over 8 lakh overnight stays from India in 2023, highlighting its appeal as a sustainable, travel-friendly destination offering diverse cultural experiences and hidden gems.
