Guyana National Day 2026 was celebrated on 4th August in New Delhi, marking six decades of Guyana’s independence and 60 years of India–Guyana diplomatic relations. The event was graced by High Commissioner Dharamkumar Seeraj and Chief Guest Pabitra Margherita, Minister of State for External Affairs. In their addresses, both dignitaries highlighted the shared democratic values, expanding cooperation in energy, healthcare, digital innovation, and biodiversity conservation. The celebration reflected the enduring friendship between India and Guyana, reaffirming a forward‑looking partnership built on mutual respect and collaboration across diverse sectors.
