On 29 May 2026, the Embassy of Italy in India hosted a reception in New Delhi to celebrate the Italian 80th National Day. Ambassador Antonio Bartoli extended a warm welcome to the guests along with the Chief Guest, Suresh Gopi, Union minister of the State for the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and the Ministry of Tourism. The gathering demonstrated the mutual respect and understanding shared by Italy and India, fostering confidence in the future of bilateral relations.
Guests were offered an exclusive preview of Botticelli’s masterpiece ‘Madonna and Child’, providing a rare glimpse into Italy’s rich artistic heritage.
Adding to the cultural vibrancy of the celebration, an outstanding dance performance by the famous Italian masters ‘Mezzotono’ enriched the overall experience for the guests.
