Rwanda Strengthens Ties At Vibrant Gujarat

Jacqueline Mukangira, Rwanda’s High Commissioner to India, attended the 4th Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference for Central Gujarat in Vadodara on 29–30 June 2026. Rwanda joined as a Country Partner alongside Singapore, UAE, Japan, and Ukraine.

In her remarks, she thanked the Government of Gujarat for the invitation and congratulated Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on becoming India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister, praising his leadership in advancing India’s global standing and deepening India-Rwanda relations. She presented Rwanda as a stable, fast-growing, and investor-friendly nation with strategic access to African markets.

Mukangira encouraged Indian businesses to explore opportunities in manufacturing, ICT, agriculture, energy, tourism, healthcare, and mining, while inviting delegates to experience Rwanda’s natural beauty and hospitality. On the sidelines, she engaged with business leaders and media, while Rwanda’s delegates joined sessions on agriculture innovation and food systems. India remains Rwanda’s second-largest investor and trading partner, with Gujarat
playing a leading role.
