Star Air announces operations in Mundra, Gujarat services from June 23, 2026

Star Air has announced the launch of scheduled commercial operations to Mundra, Gujarat from June 23, 2026, adding the port city as the 32nd destination in its expanding domestic network. The move further reinforces the airline’s focus on connecting underserved regions with key economic and cultural centres across India. Located in the Kutch region, Mundra is home to India’s largest private commercial and container port and has emerged as a significant industrial hub. On the occasion of the launch, Capt. Simran Singh Tiwana, CEO of Star Air said, “Every new destination added to our network reflects our belief that enhanced connectivity can unlock opportunities and drive inclusive growth. The commencement of our services to Mundra, home to India’s largest private commercial and container port, reinforces Star Air’s commitment to strengthening regional connectivity through reliable, convenient, and affordable air travel. We thank the Ministry of Civil Aviation and the Government of India for their continued support through the UDAN initiative as we continue connecting more communities across India.”

Star Air’s new services will connect Mundra with Mumbai, Hindon (Delhi NCR), Goa, Surat, Bengaluru, Belagavi, Kolhapur and Nanded, offering faster and more convenient travel options for business and leisure travellers alike. The airline will operate five weekly direct flights between Mumbai and Mundra and three weekly direct services linking Mundra with Hindon. Sharing his thoughts on the development, Arun Bansal, CEO of Adani Airport Holdings Limited said, “We welcome the commencement of Star Air’s flights from Mundra to Mumbai and other locations, marking an important milestone in strengthening air connectivity in the Kutch district. This development is expected to boost local tourism, trade, and economic growth. We thank the Ministry of Civil Aviation for its transformative UDAN scheme and look forward to a strong partnership with Star Air, contributing to the continued progress of the Indian aviation sector.”  Additional connections to Goa and Surat, along with a network of one-stop routes via Mundra, will further enhance accessibility across western and southern India. Since beginning operations in 2019, Star Air has steadily expanded its presence in emerging markets. The introduction of Mundra to its network is expected to improve regional mobility, support trade and industry, and strengthen the city’s position as a growing aviation and economic gateway in the region.
