On 3rd June 2025, President Santiago Pena Palacios of Paraguay held an address in the Taj Palace, Delhi.
Ambassador Sanjay Kumar Verma who was the Chairperson at the event. With many VIPS such as Pabitra Margherita, Minister of State for External Affairs of India, Professor Sachi Chaturvedi, Director General, also gave their insights about the relationship of India and Paraguay.
H.E. Mr Santiago Peña Palacios, President of the Republic of Paraguay, highlighted that triangular cooperation demands ethical partnerships: not aid, but mutual empowerment. Initiatives such as the International Solar Alliance the Dakshin- Global South Centre of Excellence are not just alternatives, but are pillars that support a just and equitable global society.
H.E. Mr Santiago Peña Palacios, President of the Republic of Paraguay, launches the RIS report on ‘Emerging Contours of Triangular Cooperation and Global South’. The report reflects the spirit of solidarity, the principal driving force behind cooperation among countries in the Global South. It seeks to enhance understanding of triangular cooperation and offer diverse perspectives on development cooperation.
