New Delhi, 7 September 2026 — The Embassy of the Plurinational State of Bolivia celebrated the nation’s 201st Independence Day with a cultural reception in New Delhi. The event was graced by Dr Aman Puri, Joint Secretary (South America), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, as the Chief Guest, along with ambassadors, diplomats, business leaders, and members of the Bolivian community.
Counsellor Arlette Gabriela Bustamante Garcia welcomed guests, highlighting Bolivia’s diverse heritage as “a country where the Andes meet the Amazon.” She emphasized the nation’s indigenous traditions, textiles, festivals, and cuisine.
The evening featured Bolivian folk music, national anthems of both countries, and authentic cuisine, creating a vibrant atmosphere that celebrated friendship and strengthened India–Bolivia relations.
